Melbourne Cup

Not to be outdone by the Melbourne Cup, the talented lifestyle team at Woodford Manor created their own official horse race for residents to get excited about.

Everyone was encouraged to choose a team to win and while it was a close race, the ‘No Face’ team took out the prize amid much cheering on and celebrations.

When it came to fashions on the field, everyone was dressed to impress and there was no shortage of glamorous residents ready to strut their stuff on the catwalk. In a sea of stylish hats and fabulous fascinators Kay and Lyn stood out to claim the honours for the ladies, while the men’s prize went to Peter and Bill.

With sweep tickets in hand, residents gathered in the theatre to watch Gold Trip take out the win in the main event at the Melbourne Cup and everyone enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea with lots of treats and tipples on offer.

Congratulations to our sweep winners, and can’t wait to see if the Woodford Cup makes it on to the official race card in 2023.
